Hi Dental Volunteers,
It is time to start planning for the 2014 Bartow Give A Kid A Chance!!! As in year’s past both GDHA and the Cherokee Dental Hygienists Society volunteers continue to help support this event. I thank you again for your previous support for this back to school event and hope you can help us again this year with our dental screenings.

This year the date is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2014. It will be an all day event. Volunteers should plan to arrive at 8am and children will be scheduled throughout the day from 9am- 5pm.

Again we will have the event in one location. Please note we have a new location!!! The event will be at the Bartow County College and Career Academy (The Old Cass High School/738 Grassdale Rd Cartersville GA 30121). This gives us a wonderful opportunity to interface the at risk kids in Bartow County with a full back to school event and future college options.

Again, online registration will be available for the children as well as for our dental volunteers. I will let you know when this is ready for you to sign up.

Due to a scheduling conflict I am sorry to find out that the Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures van will not be at this year’s event and also will not be supplying toothbrush kits for the children. As you know we will need about 1000 toothbrushes so I am asking for help from the dental community. Please let me know if you or someone you know might help us by donating children’s toothbrushes and toothpaste for those children who participate in the dental screenings. We will also be in need of Non-Latex gloves for our volunteers doing the screenings.

Thank you all in advance for your dedication and service to this event. I look forward to working with you again!!
More info will follow soon…
